Dear people that may read this:
I've noticed many problems with this wiki. I'm pretty bad at formatting. However, I can provide whatever game information you need.
In particular, pages that I've noticed need improvement:
prestige points( dead rising 2):missing level up skills, stats, pp needed table.
magazines(dead rising 2): missing most of the information in the magazine table
survivors(dead rising 2): MANY duplicates in the table, incorrect formatting, missing images. PP join and PP safehouse arrival bonuses are also not even listed.
I'd like to provide information for these pages if I could. I will try to gather information, and post it all on the talk pages when I'm ready.

Creating My Own Character
This is how I feel why don't they just let us create our own character in the game and continue with the story line.
I mean it's a cool game and all but come on, I want to create the person the way I want to.

If you have the PC version of Dead Rising 2 there are some mind boggling cool modifications you can create.
I have been working with the modification community at http://deadrising2mods.proboards.com/ to list all modifications which are available. This is the most complete and detailed list of mods available on the web.
You can:
- play as 14 different characters, (more added each day)
- modify clothes,
- teleport,
- slow down time,
- play with no zombies or missions, in an empty world,
- jump to any mission or case,
- jump to any location on the map,
- have stock piles of the most powerful weapons, clothing, food, mixed drinks,
- change the view
- reach level 30 in 5 minutes
etc.

Online Frustrations
I've been having an awful lot of problems with Xbox Live lately. My router seems to be unable to allow me to Co-Op smoothly. I'll hook my Xbox directly into my modem and it will work then... sometimes. For some reason one particular friend and I cannot connect via XBL ever. It has been this way for a long time. Every now and then it will work, but 90% of the time, no dice. We played Co-Op for a good two nights since the game released, and that's it. It worked once through my router and only once. All of my ports are open for Xbox, I even set up a DMZ. After all this I even updated my router's six-year-old firmware. Nothing. So I rely on hooking up directly to the modem and even that doesn't work sometimes. Called Xbox, they're supposed to …

What is Dead Rising 2's small chainsaw? Do books work on combo weapons?
It would help playing the game a lot, if players found the Dead Rising 2's version of the Small Chainsaw, which was the best weapon in the game.
Many forum members on other sites seem to overwhelming agree that for psychos, the Knife Gloves are the best weapon. (See the Knife Gloves page for more details).
What is Dead Rising 2's "small chainsaw": the most durable weapon which inflicts a lot of damage?
Please explain exactly why this weapon is better than the Knife Gloves?
Further do magazines work on combo weapons?
History & Timeline
It's really frustrating working on this stuff when the series is so young. Especially since Dead Rising 2 took so many years to release. If it was an immediate franchise, there would probably be a lot more information by now. Just the simple fact that the only dates apparent in the game are days in September, but of what year? No years anywhere. Are we supposed to assume they're the same as the years the games were released. Possibly, but there's one small problem there.
The events of Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 are separated by 5 years in the games' world, but they were released only 4 years apart. So you have to decide whether or not Dead Rising takes place in 2006 and Dead Rising 2 takes place in 2011 or if Dead Rising takes place in 2…

Kent screams and drops dead

I wish it was easier and cheaper to record XBox 360. I want to start recording all of my games, but it is cumbersome, error prone and takes up mass amounts of memory.
I would LOVE to see one of the psychos as a zombie in Dead Rising....
Is Shadow of the North Plaza dependent on Prisoners?
1. Prisoners maybe available from Day 1, 6pm until the end of 72 Hour Mode. I went until Day 2, 4:30 pm, and the Prisoners scoop was still available. (this allowed me to take some REALLY good daytime photos of the convicts)
2. There is an end time for Case 1-1, but Frank never gets a "the truth is vanished in the darkness" notice, he just goes about doing the scoops, like the cases never existed. Case 1-1 ends sometime before Day 1, 6:45 pm.
3. In most cases the zombies appear in the warehouse and elevator, in at least one case they never do. I think this is dependent on activating Case 1-1. If you activate it, but go no further, they will never appear, it you don't activate 1-1 they will. I think it maybe if you stay in the warehouse long eno…
